CONCLUSION

Conclusion 

    As a conclusion, I want to say thank you to our lecturer Miss Moon Zappa because she already teach us very well in the class and easy for us to discuss anything with her when we did not know something. She already teach us more thing about this subject and always guide us during make the blog and finish an assignment 2 which we need to make an assessment about the the text book. After finish with all of the assessment topic, now I can see and know why the assessment really important in future to assess the development of the students and children's in the class. Honestly, an assessment subject is not easy as we thought, but it is more difficult and conflict for us to understand some of the topic for the assessment in education subject. However, I will try my best to get at least B+ or A for this subject in final exam. Thank you :) 

REFLECTION 10 (WEEK 10)

Reflection 10

    In the week 10, we learn about the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) which is learn to calculate the item difficulty, index discrimination and distracted analysis. The lecturer give us an example of the calculation and the formula that we need to use in the calculation. before the end of the class, the lecturer give us an exercise to make sure either we understand or not about the calculation that we already learn in the class. After finish with the exercise, we check it together in the class with the lecturer.

REFLECTION 9 (WEEK 9)

Reflection 9

    The lecturer discuss about the topic 10 in the class. This topic discuss about grading and reporting system. there is have discuss about the functions of reporting and reporting systems, types of grading and reporting and guidelines for effective grading. After finish with this topic, the lecturer give us an exercise that we need to submit after class. 

REFLECTION 8 (WEEK 8)

Reflection 8

    At the week 9, we learn about topic 9 which is discuss about the assembling classroom tests and administering tests. For the assembling classroom tests, we learn about the recording test item, reviewing items and tasks, arranging items in the tests, preparing direction for the test,  and reproducing the test. For the administering tests also, we learn about the eliminate test anxiety and the principles of effective administration.

REFLECTION 7 (WEEKS 7)

Reflection 7


    We already discuss the topic 7 & 8 with the lecturer in the class. Besides, the lecturer also discuss about assignment two with us in the class. The lecturer teach us how to fill the table in the questions paper of the assignment two. Next, the lecturer also ask us to imagine that we are the teacher based on the major of early childhood subject, how does the assessment help in teaching?


     In my opinion, assessment help me teaching through the way that I can do to help the children's. Based on the assessment, I will looking for their strength and weaknesses so that I can help them become more understand about the topic that they did not understand. For example, I will show them the videos to help them understand about something that I want to teach them in the class. 


    Through the assessment also I can know the performance of my children's in the class. I can compare their mark and see their exam paper. I will fine out the part that the children's always getting wrong to answer the questions. This is important so that I can help them to improve the part that they did not know the most. I will show them images for example so that they can become more interesting to study and be focused during the learning process in the class. 


    Assessment also can help to find a suitable methods and materials for the teaching and learning process in the class. It is important to find any methods and materials so that I can improve my teaching styles in the class to teach the children's. For example, if before I just use the presentation slides to teach the children's, now I will improve to use presentation slides and videos to teach the children's. I choose videos because the children's will become more interesting with the movement image and have sounds. This situation directly help the children's easy to remember and can learn faster in the teaching and learning process.

    The lecturer discuss the topic 5 and 6 in the class about formative assessment and summative assessment. Next, we also continued with the test construction, multiple choice test, competency and assessment.

    We discuss the topic 4 in the class with the lecturer. In this topic, we discuss about the types of tests, item analysis, personality tests, techniques for recording behaviour, questionnaires, characteristics of a good questionnaire, the format, basic assumptions of a questionnaire, problem with questions and many else.

REFLECTION 4 (WEEKS 4)

    We discuss the topic 3 in the class with the lecturer.  The lecturer teach very well and explain briefly to us when we did not understand the certain of the passage in the note. At the end of the class, the lecturer ask us to do an exercise that already upload in the Uniec system so that we can become more understand about the subject of assessment in education.

     We discuss the topic 1 and 2 in the class with the lecturer. We discuss about the topic of educational testing, evaluation and assessment context, roles of assessment in teaching and learning. We also discuss about the goals and learning objectives. Before the end of the class, the lecturer ask us to try build an objective by ourself.

Chinese New Year Holiday

ABOUT ME

    My name is Katherine anak Genggang. I am 22 years old and my date of birth is 7 March 1994. I am study at Unitar International University intake June 2014. This is my six semester. My faculty course is Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood (Hons). I come from Mukah Sarawak. My father work as a farmer and sometimes carry out work as a fisherman. I was the eldest of three siblings. I have one sister and one brother. My sister now taking form 6 at my old school and my brother just finish form 5 and still wait the result to continue his study. My hobby is searching the Internet, shopping and spend time with my family. My ambition form the young child, I want to be a teacher, that why I take this course to continue my study. Before study at Unitar International University, I was taking my form 6 at SMK Three Rivers Mukah. 


Goals          : I want to be a role model to all of my siblings. I want to be a successful person in future so that I can change the life of my family. I want to make my family proud and happy with my successful in study. 


philosophy : My philosophy is turning an idea become reality. Turning an ideas become reality means here when we learn about something new in our life, we want to make it become reality one day. Not only just learn in the class, but we make sure something new that we learn in the class will make us become more understand. We should have an effort to achieve something in our life to become a successful person in the future.
